September Lust List {2013}

Every month I find myself obsessing over fashion magazines, blogs, and websites looking for new ways to amp up my life with, “I can’t live without this” items. Somewhere between my must read list and scarf rolodex, I tend to lose myself. So many new products can be a bit overwhelming, and really through me off from what I really want to add to my wardrobe, kitchen, bookshelf, makeup drawer… you get the idea. So, what’s a girl to do? Answer: Lust List. I’ve been making these since I got my first issue of Teen Vogue when I was a pre-teen. Back then I would cut out my favorite items and glue them to the pages of my N*sync notebook. I loved going through all of the things I wanted and learned how to find and style similar items. Since finding an N*sync notebook is a little harder these days,  I’ve opted to posting my lust items to my blog, which happens to much neater and less sticky. I’ve put together a list of my …

Our Trip To Sequoia National Park

No trip to California’s Central Valley is complete without a visit to the gigantic trees up at Sequoia National Park! My Dad took my roommate, Dora, and I on an excursion through the woods to the see the amazing beauties. Having been born and raised in the valley, I am embarrassed to say that I had yet to venture out to the Sequoia trees. I blame my love for puzzles and my brother’s fascination with making me fearful of every bug ever created. After packing all of the essentials: trail mix, water, and cameras, we made our way up to the park. It was an amazing drive; perfect for cruising with the windows down and we also saw some great views of the surrounding area. Bonus!! Our beautiful drive up the mountain. The river from the road. I was pretty tempted to jump into this little river we …

Going Back To Cali

Spring Break was last week and let me tell you, it could not have come at a more perfect time! I was super stressed with school and just generally pissed off at the midwest’s lack luster weather. My roommate, Doralyn, and I had decided a trip to California would be the perfect remedy. Not only was I beyond excited to show her where I grew up, but I also got to spend time with family and friends; all who were extremely tan in comparison to my Twilight-esq skin. Once arriving in California, Dora and I did a little bit of exploring (see what I did there??) around the Hollywood Hills and Los Angeles. We got to see the Walk of Fame, some major celebrity houses, and the most important of all California must haves: In N Out. Needless to say she now wants to move to Cali upon graduating. We also spent a day at the happiest place on earth: Disneyland!! We had such a blast, and got to soak up some California sunshine. This …
