Oh the places you will go!

Thanksgiving 2013

After weeks of school work, classes, exams, and group projects, I can final breath a sigh of relief!! Ahhhh…. Finals aren’t until next week, but lucky for me, all but one of my classes are over with. Yayy!! I can’t tell you how excited I am to go home and see my family, friends, and the beach {it’s been four months!!}. Although I haven’t been home in quite some time, I was lucky enough to have some family members come to Indiana to visit for Thanksgiving. They’re the best!! It was my cousin sister, Sarah’s, first time here and she had a blast blast. Maybe we’ve got a future Hoosier on our hands?! I took A TON of footage while they were visiting and decided to share some of it with you!! Hope you enjoy!! {Watch it in HD, it’s better that way!!} Happy Holidays!! Trip To The Indianapolis Motor Speedway

One of the perks of going to school in Indiana is that I essentially have the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in my backyard. Ok maybe not that close, but you catch my drift. Some of my friends came to visit last weekend, all the way from CALIFORNIA might I add. Yea, I know, my friends are amaze balls. And naturally, I couldn’t let them fly all the way out here without taking them to the Indy Speedway. I grew up around all types of racing, and spent most of my childhood in “the pits” with my family’s racing team. Granted, when I got older I only went to flirt with the cute drivers, but who can blame me. There’s just something about a guy in a race suit that makes me go weak in the knees. Unfortunately there were no cute drivers to be found at the track that day, the search continues…. Anyways, we decided to go on the grounds tour, which for only $25 bucks you get to go all around the track, museum, and …

Trip to Washington DC {2012} Vlog

I traveled to Washington DC for Thanksgiving to see my dear friend Kristi. We both were unable to go home, so we decided the next best thing was to spend it together. This is a video of some of the things we saw and did. I had a blast!!! One of my best Thanksgivings to date! =] I made this video a while ago, but recently found it on my computer and thought I would upload and share it with you! =] Related articles Thanksgiving 2012-Washington, D.C.!! Our Trip To Sequoia National Park

No trip to California’s Central Valley is complete without a visit to the gigantic trees up at Sequoia National Park! My Dad took my roommate, Dora, and I on an excursion through the woods to the see the amazing beauties. Having been born and raised in the valley, I am embarrassed to say that I had yet to venture out to the Sequoia trees. I blame my love for puzzles and my brother’s fascination with making me fearful of every bug ever created. My father has been working on re-introducing the “harmless” creatures into my life ever since. Anyways, we could not have picked a better day for our trip. After packing all of the essentials: trail mix, water, and cameras, we made our way up to the park. It was an amazing drive; perfect for cruising with the windows down and we also saw some great views of the surrounding area. Bonus!! Our beautiful drive up the mountain. The river from the road. I was pretty tempted to jump into this little river we …

Going Back To Cali

Spring Break was last week and let me tell you, it could not have come at a more perfect time! I was super stressed with school and just generally pissed off at the midwest’s lack luster weather. My roommate, Doralyn, and I had decided a trip to California would be the perfect remedy. Not only was I beyond excited to show her where I grew up, but I also got to spend time with family and friends; all who were extremely tan in comparison to my Twilight-esq skin. Once arriving in California, Dora and I did a little bit of exploring (see what I did there??) around the Hollywood Hills and Los Angeles. We got to see the Walk of Fame, some major celebrity houses, and the most important of all California must haves: In N Out. Needless to say she now wants to move to Cali upon graduating. We also spent a day at the happiest place on earth: Disneyland!! We had such a blast, and got to soak up some California sunshine. This …

Thanksgiving 2012-Washington, D.C.!!

Hello lovely people! I’m back from my week off! I’ve been traveling like crazy over the last week, visiting friends and have not touched my laptop keyboard in quite some time. Needless to say my withdrawals are no more! I am back to typing with feverish fluidity!! (I had to throw a quote from my fav movie, A Christmas Story. It is the holiday season after all.)  Yay! This last week was one of the best i’ve had in a while. With school, work, and everything in between I have been way too busy. It was great to take time to enjoy the little things. My system was in need of a serious reboot. This break could not have come at a better time! On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I flew to Washington, D.C. where my great friend Kristi is studying. She’s a participant in the UC program there and is an intern at The Smithsonian Portrait Gallery. Needless to say she’s a BOSS! We spent Thanksgiving day touring the city. I have been to …
